Using the earlier Elephas Mac app?
Elephas has a new desktop app for Mac, with Windows coming soon. Your earlier app keeps working, and you do not have to switch. Here is what that means for you.
If you stay on the earlier app
Nothing changes. Your app, your subscription or licence, and your data keep working as they do today. The earlier app continues to receive maintenance updates.
The new Elephas is a different app
It is not an update to the app you have. It has its own account and its own plans, and it does one job: answering questions from your own documents, with sources.

If you want to try the new Elephas
Switching is optional, and you can run both apps side by side while you decide.
- Try it first. Download the new Elephas and start the free 7-day trial with a new account. No card is needed, and your earlier app is not affected.
- Your Brains do not move across yet. There is no import from the earlier app today. You add your files to a new Brain in the new app.
- Your subscription does not carry over. A subscription or licence for the earlier app does not apply to the new one. See the new plans.
- Cancel the earlier subscription only when you are sure. See the steps below.
How to cancel the earlier subscription
- Bought on this website: in the earlier app, open Settings, then Support, then Manage subscription.
- Bought on the Apple App Store: cancel it in your Apple account, under Subscriptions.

Buying the earlier app
The earlier app is no longer sold on this website. For now it is still available on the Apple App Store. That version does not include the writing tools.
