Check and copy
Each detail becomes a placeholder like [NAME_1]. The same person always gets the same placeholder, so the AI can still follow the text.
Restore the answer
Paste the AI's reply back in and the real names, emails and numbers are put back where the placeholders were.

What the page does download
- The AI model for names and addresses, about 145 MB, once, from next.elephas.ai, Elephas's download server. Your browser stores it, so later visits start instantly. On phones and slow connections it asks first.
- Like the rest of elephas.app, the page counts visits and button clicks. Those counts never include what you type.

Is my text uploaded anywhere?
No. Detection runs in your browser. Your text is never sent to Elephas or anyone else. You can check this in your browser's Network tab.
Why does it download an AI model?
Patterns catch emails, phone numbers and ID numbers, but names and addresses need a small AI model. It runs on your computer instead of a server, so it is downloaded once (about 145 MB) and stored by your browser.
Will ChatGPT still understand the masked text?
Usually, yes. Placeholders such as [NAME_1] keep sentences readable, and the same person always gets the same placeholder. Paste the answer back into step 3 to restore the real details.
Can it miss something?
Yes. It finds common types of personal details and can miss or wrongly flag some. Read the masked text before you paste it.
Does it work with Claude, Gemini and other AI tools?
Yes. The result is plain text, so you can paste it into any AI tool, email or document.
