You upgrade from the free trial in Settings › Plan & Billing, and pay in your browser. To move from Personal to Professional, contact Elephas support for now.

Before you start

Steps

From the free trial, or with no plan

1

Open Plan & Billing

On Mac, choose Elephas › Settings… or press ⌘,. On Windows, choose File › Settings… or press Ctrl+,. Then choose Plan & Billing.
2

Choose a plan

Under Choose a Plan, pick Personal or Professional, monthly or annual. Each option shows its price, its included AI usage and its device limit.
3

Continue to checkout

Click Continue to Checkout. Elephas shows Opening checkout in your browser… and opens a checkout page tied to the account you are signed in with.
4

Pay and return

Complete payment in your browser, then switch back to Elephas. It shows Waiting for payment confirmation. Finish checkout in your browser; this updates automatically. When payment is confirmed, you see Payment confirmed. Your plan is active.

From Personal to Professional

Elephas can’t change an active plan from inside the app yet. Email support@elephas.app from the email address on your Elephas account and say which plan and billing period you want. See contact support.

How it works

  • Your paid plan starts when payment is confirmed. Returning to Elephas from your browser is not enough on its own. Elephas waits for confirmation from the payment provider, then activates your plan.
  • Everything carries over. Your Brains, documents, chats, settings and saved keys stay as they are. Nothing is uploaded because you upgraded.
  • Sync stays off until you turn it on. Upgrading to Professional makes Personal Sync available, but you choose when to turn it on.
  • Trial usage does not carry over. Your paid plan starts with its own included Elephas AI usage.
  • Checkout is tied to your account. If your browser is signed in to a different Elephas account, checkout asks you to sign in with the right one. A plan never attaches to an account just because the email looks similar.

Troubleshooting

The checkout was closed or the payment did not go through. Click Continue to Checkout to try again. If your card was charged anyway, contact support.
You started a checkout earlier that has not finished. Finish it in your browser, or wait for it to expire, then try again.
Click Check Again. Confirmation can take a short while. If it still doesn’t update, contact support with the time you paid.
