Elephas on your iPhone and iPad

Elephas for iOS brings your private knowledge workspace to your mobile devices. You can sync your Super Brains from Mac via iCloud, use the Smart AI Keyboard in any app, and chat with your knowledge on the go.

Key features on iOS

• Smart AI Keyboard: An AI-powered keyboard that lets you write, rewrite, reply, and fix grammar in any app on your iPhone or iPad.
• Super Brain (Pro and Pro Plus plans): Sync your Super Brains from Mac via iCloud, or create them directly on iOS. Chat with your knowledge base from your iPhone or iPad.
• iCloud sync: Index files on your Mac and ask questions on your iPhone or iPad. Everything stays in sync via iCloud Drive.
• Expanded AI provider support: add your provider API key on the Mac in the AI Provider tab, and the model automatically becomes available in the iOS app (keys sync across your devices).
• Share Sheet integration: Send content from Safari, Mail, or any app directly to your workspace using the iOS Share Sheet.
• Notes: Create and organize notes within Elephas. Notes are searchable alongside your other documents.
• Voice input: Speak your queries and notes using the built-in voice recording feature. You can choose the audio/transcription model (Elephas AI or OpenAI) in the iOS Settings tab; note audio features currently require an OpenAI model.

Recent additions on iOS

• Super Chat: a fast general AI chat for everyday questions, writing, and brainstorming — works without indexing anything
• Offline AI: use local-network (LAN) hosted models from iOS for private, on-device-style answers (audio still needs an OpenAI model)
• Built-in models: bundled free models are included so you can start without your own key
• Voice compose: tapping voice takes you to the app to give an instruction tuned for composing messages (say “I can't come today” rather than “write a message saying…”)
• Notes & chat cards: save typed text as AI-assisted notes; Super Brain chats appear as cards, and you can delete a chat thread

Getting started

1. Download Elephas from the App Store
2. Sign in with your Elephas account (Pro or Pro Plus required for Super Brain)
3. Choose your AI provider (Elephas built-in AI or your own API key)
4. Enable the Smart AI Keyboard or sync your Super Brains from Mac

Syncing Super Brains with iCloud

Elephas for iOS supports iCloud syncing, so you can access your Super Brains and their content across iPhone, iPad, and Mac.

Requirements:

• Latest Elephas Mac app (v11.4 or later) — required to initiate sync from Mac
• iCloud Drive enabled on both devices
• Same Apple ID on your Mac and iOS device
• Updated Elephas iOS app

When you open Super Brain on iOS for the first time, you may see a "Syncing files..." message while Elephas fetches your Brains and content from iCloud. This may take a few minutes depending on your internet speed and the number of files.
